Jon has been an artist and illustrator for almost two decades now, with a penchant for the dark, weird and fantastical. His work covers everything from children’s books and theatre productions to rpg illustrations and death metal covers. Of late, in the guise of Lurid Orb the Dungeon Synth world has largely overtaken his own.

He studied at Queensland College of Art where he specialized in Fine Art, majoring in Painting and Art Theory.

Jon loves his beautiful wife ( animator Helena Papageorgiou) ancient history, stuffy period piece documentaries/dramas, sword and sorcery, animals and nature. Oh and most types of dark music.

His list of hates is rather long and mostly have to do with ignorant people — but at the head of the list is AI tech, needless tech garbage, corporate greed and anyone that takes the environment and or creative arts for granted.
